Workshop 4 - Week 1

This was the three tasks for the day. It was to create a model of a house out of balsa, then to create a house out of card with three openings, then to interest them together in an interesting way. I love how mine are intersected, and although its not actually needed, the support adds another element which is very interesting.

Workshop 5 - SUBMISSION

These images are of the finished product. They show the parts in the previous post all together and working. As you fold it up and down, turn it around, look over, under, side to side, more of the perspectives are revealed. Then you remove each part to see the perspectives individually.

Workshop 5 - Final Perspective Designs (with cut outs)

Below is the final presentation laid out individually so you can see each layers perspective individually. We also cut out elements so that when you looked at the 3D version, you could see through layers and see into the perspective of other layers. This created a great effect over all.

Workshop 5 - Week 3 Presentation

Here is our idea for the model. It was extremely complex to work out and this was the test model. Our feedback was extremely positive, and was commented we should make it one and half times the size.

Workshop 5 - Week 3 and 4 image progress

Here are a few of the photoshopped images that we printed out. From these we then cut round them and started placing them in all different ways to create a perspective on every sheet. A few of these test perspectives are on the next post.

Workshop 5 - Presentation Week 2

This was the work we presented for week one. On the left we had the elements we liked, and on the right we had elements we didnt like about the space. The left was creating a perspective drawing us into the sunny seated area in the center, which is trying to invite you into the space.
The right side has no order as to confuse you and has red tape over it(another photoshopped image) stopping people from entering the site.

The feedback was extremely negative (one saying "i hate it") which was a large shock. They did not like our idea of the 3D model which put us back to square one with no ideas and only two weeks to go.

Workshop 5 - Week 1

Week 1's work was photoshopping photos. We extracted elements we liked and also deleted elements we didn't like. We were also still brain storming many ideas on what to do regarding out model and the direction it was going. Below are a few pictures showing some of the photoshopping.
